Tadashi's salsa inspired halter dress takes simple layering and a jeweled bow embellishment to create a dress that will stand out in a way no other black dress can. ($308). Nicole Miller broke the sexy bank (yea, I said it) on this this gun metal satin number. Not a single thing on it to distract everyone from the woman before them. ($420). And who but BCBG could make the standard silver sequin dress new again with a simple matching chiffon bow. Gorgeous. ($440)

Adrianna Papell combines elegance with an almost a gothic feel with this blood red beaded detail dress.
