Modern, contemporary and retro is a description that is both redundant and contradicting. But it's accurate, for sure. Many of the most popular in modern and or contemporary furniture are pieces well over 50 years old.

The Arne Jacobsen created the Egg Chair (#4) in 1958 and it's just as cool and unique today. Plus it comes in the best fabrics and patterns.  Charle and Ray Eames are among the most famous furniture designers of all time and they're pieces are as fun and exciting now as they were in 1948 when they were created. Like the RAR rocking chair below (#5). And Poul M. Volther created the funky Corona chair in 1964.
