Fendi's Hits the Great Wall

LVMH chairman Bernard Arnault reintroduce his spring 08 line in spectacular fashion. (Excuse the pun.) The showman gathered together a few dozen of the worlds top models, Karl Lagerfeld, Silvia Venturini Fendi, and company chairman and CEO Michael Burke and a crowd of about 500 on the Great Wall of China for a runway show extravaganza.

Among the who's who that donned furs and jewels to attend the event actresses Ziyi Zhang and Thandie Newton, Miss Universe Riyo Mori of Japan, gallerist Pearl Lam, artist Terence Koh, A Bathing Ape's Nigo, and a plane load of New York socialites, including Fabiola Beracasa, Zani Gugelmann, Amanda Hearst, Tinsley Mortimer, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, and Bettina Zilkha.

Lagarfeld for Fendi S/S 08

Karl Lagerfeld has done it again.  Lagerfeld's collection for Fendi is bold and powerful. The red's are blood red, the black's jet black and in between are all the colours of the rainbow.

The circular pattern pops up on several pieces as the inspiration for the seasons line. The collection is mature and is surely going to be seen on the socialites of NYC but will it be on young Hollywood? Who cares. They get enough.
