Carolina Herrera uses ruffles, satin sashes, flowing fabrics, and trains to give the collection an ethereal feel, while an element of surprise was found in black embellishments, which added an ironic touch to the white palette. 

Monique Lhuillier's collection was old fashion, organic and reminiscent of The Great Gatsby.  "It was really organic this season," explained Lhuillier. "There was hardly any satin; I just felt that polished look had been really done. Instead, I used lots of chiffon, matte garza, and left edges frayed."
