His fall 2008 collection had all the gentile panache one associates with Oscar: dimpled brocade skirts with subtle volume and amethyst silk shirts anchored with alligator belts; granite herring bone coats, splendid sheath dresses in phantasmagorical flower prints covered in light mesh; emerald jacquard cocktails with big bows.

His best work was the finale – va va vroom ruffled columns in burgundy and sky at night black. Class with a soupcon of naughty suggestiveness was the leitmotiv of this collection.

Miss Sixty Fall Winter 2008-09

Good times were rolling for Miss Sixty as the brand, which made its name in denim, sent out a full-fledged fall collection that largely got a thumbs' up from a fashion-savvy crowd that included Anne Hathaway, Chloe Sevigny and Ashley Olsen.
