Marni Spring 2009

What girls usually love about Marni is its pert chic, a cross between college girl and tony traveller. So designer Consuelo Castiglioni found herself right at home with the elegantly relaxed mood of the current week of preview showings for the spring-summer 2009. In her fashion notes she describes the collection as a "contemporary take on couture elegance."

The new warm-weather look centres around co-ordination from the dress or skirt, to the tops, to the two-tone cardigans which accompanied many of the outfits. Intricate embroidery with raffia, tulle and little round disks, enhance the sophisticated feel of the collection.
