You might see her face plastered all over fashion shows since she tends to walk one or more shows a night during London fashion week. And you might see her at a Strokes concert where she watches fiancée Albert Hammond, Jr. play guitar for the band. But what you may not know is that Agyness Deyn is really Laura Hollins. Who?

Laura Hollins was born February 16 1983, (thought the year is much disputed), in Failsworth, Greater Manchester. And as legend suggests she was a struggling model for several years till the age of 17 when her mother introduced her to a Reiki master and numerology enthusiast. The guru told her that her name was what held her back and that, in the field of numerology, the most 'fortuitous' name in numbers was Agyness Deyn. Say what you will about numerology but it was almost immediately following the name change that Deyn was catapulted into the fashion scene and fast labeled one of fashions must have for the runway.

Today Deyn is a guest editor of i-D magazine, has appeared in advertisements for Anna Sui, Blugirl by Blumarine, Burberry, Cacharel, Gianfranco Ferrè, Moussy,Maison Gilfy,Shiseido, Giorgio Armani, Mulberry, Paul Smith,Reebok, and Vivienne Westwood. While garnering such prestigious contracts she is currently the face of the new fragrance The Beat by Burberry, Gold by Giles Deacon at New Look replacing Drew Barrymore, Jean Paul Gautier's fragrance Ma Dame, Shiseido (replacing Angelina Jolie), and childhood friend Henry Holland's label House of Holland.
