We know we’re going to catch all sorts of s#&* for this, but we don’t care. It’s not our fault you have been brain washed into thinking this chick is some sort of representation of contemporary art, music and fashion, because she’s not. People use fancy words like ‘icon’ to describe Lady Gaga without even knowing what that word means. And if you do know what the word icon does mean, you obviously know that an icon she most certainly is not.
Now don’t think we’re stupid – we ‘get it’. We understand the nature of publicity these days and the way this broad and her team of people have managed to manipulate the media and millions of listeners/consumers into believing this chick is has created some new form of pop music with a side order of artistic integrity. It truly is amazing. Seriously, hats off to her and her people for realizing that in the watered down culture of today’s arts all it takes for credibility is some ridiculous outfits and poorly written lyrics overtop of a beat at 126 bpm.
That being said, if we have to hear this idiot dribble on in one more interview about her ties to ‘east side New York’, her 'obsession with fashion’ or her 'knowledge of art’ in her faux British accent - her new thing as of the past few weeks - we’re going to kill somebody.

This just in. We found out that she was wearing this outfit while visited a museum in Paris. You know, 'cause she's soooooo into art and all.

I agree with you totally. She is very good at selling her 'art'; doesn't make her an icon.. whoever said that is full of it. She's become nothing more than a fad, we can only hope people soon will get sick of her.. I know I am and I was never a fan.

Who are you, or anyone for the matter, to say what art is? Art cannot be defined. Just because you don't consider her music to be deep and philosophical does not mean that It is not art, and that there isn't an intelligence behind what she does. I'm not saying this as some crazed fan, and I'm not saying this to be argumentative. But art shouldn't be safe. Art should make you think, it should make you question, it should get a reaction. So I suppose Lady GaGa has really done her job as an artist, she's aggravated you, and so many other "bloggers" so much, that you all feel the need to go on a rant saying that "she is not an artist". But what you don't realize is that what you're doing is art. You're contributing to pop culture. Pop culture is art. I am art. That homeless man you see on the street has perfected an art. There is no one definition! So please, be more open minded.
