Fly Girl

It takes years of piling on make-up, dealing with self esteem issues and getting comfortable with ourselves for a lot of women to adapt the age old teaching of ‘less is more’.  Hell I remember a point in my life when I would not, for anything, leave my apartment without full make up on – I’m not talking a quickie 5 minute face, I’m talking a full half hour in front of the mirror at least. It was only as a I got older that I started to realize that those around me more often than not barely noticed all the effort I had been putting in anyways and the more I realized that they didn’t care the more I realized that I didn’t care so much either. I had somehow got it into my head that I had to be ‘on’ all the time and I was wrong.

Jennifer Lopez is, hands down, a stunning woman. Her red carpet looks are always way over the top with fake lashes on top of eye liner on top of foundation and blush that is thick enough to ski through. The result ends up often detracting from how naturally beautiful she is and when you see her in a photo like this it’s a good reminder that she doesn’t really need all that to look great. She looks great on her own.
