If Wood
Harris was an average Hollywood actor, you would probably see him stumbling out of
<insert random LA club name here>, hanging out with other famous people (“I’m
famous! You’re famous! Let’s be friends!!!), and taking bubble gum roles with no
content, depth or real challenge to him as an actor. He seems to keep a low
profile tho to the point that someone as media obsessed as I am never sees or
hears much about him and I’m even betting a good portion of you reading this don’t
even know who he is.
Truth be
told, this guy is one of Hollywood’s best kept secrets and as one of the lead
characters on HBO’s The Wire (aka one of the best show's ever on television) he played Avon Barksdale – Baltimore city drug
king-pin and all around bad ass.
That being said, it kinds of ruins the mystique around his character when you see him hanging out day to day, looking cute and cuddly enough that you would want him to take you on a date for ice-cream.
