The longer the show Entourage goes on, the less interesting is seems to us to be honest. It was appealing at first, you know? The glitz and the glamour, all of it. It seemed for a minute that because the show had so many guest stars and Hollywood references that it seemed like possibly we were getting a real glimpse into what it is like being a Hollywood star. We remember not wanting to admit to our friends we loved it, only to find out after that they loved it just as much as we did. But as time went on, and the plot went nowhere, it made us stop and think.
The thing that bugs us most about this show is the styling. It’s not believable. We aren’t stylists and we don’t claim to be, but seriously, we’re gonna break our issues down here character by character.
Ari Gold – The only person with any real style of the bunch. Sure he’s a complete asshole, but when you are wearing $4000 suits and cutting deals for multi-million dollar contracts, you kind of have to be, you know?
Vince – Sure, he’s good looking but Vince is arguably the most boring character on the show. Yeah, yeah, he’s just supposed to be a ‘humble kid from queens’ who ‘made it big’, but whatever you WERE, you’re a movie star now, so act like one. Or should I say, more importantly, LOOK like one. Those blue eyes will only get you so far, because you sure as hell can't act, Vince.
Eric Murphy – If you’re gonna play the game, you gotta play the part, and running around in Polos and wool sweaters over button down shirts isn’t the name of the game when going to Hollywood meetings. Get down to Rodeo, and buy yourself a SUIT Eric. Two Piece. And get them dry cleaned at the same time so the wear at the same rate.
Turtle – We know, we know. Turtle is supposed to be the ‘hip-hop’ character on the show, and as such, is decked out in what we suppose the wardrobe people deem to be fashionable hip-hop wear. But it’s not 1998 anymore and the aesthetic of hip-hop has changed drastically, specifically in the last 3 years or so. Put him in some pants that fit for god sakes.
Drama – Last but not least, he is easily the most entertaining on the bunch, let’s be real here. If Entourage was REALLY Hollywood, Drama would be covered in head to Ed Hardy bullshit from the gift suites while following Vince around like the sad little puppy he is.
We can only hope that the wardrobe department and writers of Entourage take note of our collective plea from Trendmill to let these boys shine in the real life way we know they would.
I guess when it's all said and done, all that matters is that VINCE CAN DO THE MOVIE!
