The poster of Farah Fawcett wearing a red bathing suit with her head thrown back playfully is probably easily one of the most identifiable pictures in pop culture history. Even people who don’t necessarily know who Farah Fawcett is still know that image from the poster, not to mention is was burned in the retinas of every man born before 1980.

Farah Fawcett defined the visual ascthetic for an entire decade – when one thinks of the token stylistic elements from the 70’s her look is easily one of the most recognizable and emulated. High waist jeans, tucked in shirts and of course her feathered hair.

Man, Farah Fawcett had some REALLY good hair.

Farah passed away this morning after a fairly long battle with Cancer. She is survived by her only child Redmond O’Neal and long time lover Ryan O’Neal
