BET Awards 2009

The BET Awards were last night and naturally this was as good a time as any for the stars to be out in glamour mode. The show featured many of this year’s hottest as performers, presenters and of of course award accept-ees, while Jamie Foxx kept the laughs coming.

Janet Jackson also made a brief surprise speech in regards to the sudden death of her brother Michael Jackson and a few other moments during the show were used to pay tribute to the late entertainer who died unexpectedly last week of what is assumed to be a heart attack. Early autopsy reports have been leaked but officials say it will take approximately 3 weeks for the conclusive results to be in.

Regardless, the show had to go on, and here’s what we at Trendmill.com deemed to be the best of the best at the show, fashion wise anyways.  R&B dive and Trendmill..com favorite Beyonce dazzled in this purple sparkley number. Though were a fashion fan of her, she can admittedly.

 

Pirates of the Caribbean actress Zoe Saldana look wonderful in this basic white dress and the only criticism we have is we wish she just a tad more meat on her bones to fill it up. Other than that, the hair, make-up, the everything is absolutely stunning. We can’t wait to see more of her!

 

Usually we are very on the fence with Tyra Banks and find more often than not everything with her just too much - too much hair, too much make-up, too much of all of it - and we wish she wouldn't cause in this case, she looks extremely ravishing and put together. We like this Tyra most.

 

Megan Good pretty much always has it together in the wardrobe department, but this dress and the COLOR look like they were made for her hands down. She looks sophisticated, poised but still sexy.

 

 

 

We're excited to see where Cassie's fashion sense takes her in the next few years. We think shaving the half of her head was bold and brave and says alot about the risks she is willing to take with her look. Here's hoping she continues to stay just as ballsy.

 

 We're a big fan of Shaun Robinson in general, but going the same way as Zoe Saldana we wish she would just get a tad more meat on those bones to fill that dress out just a tad.

 

Taraji P Henson has become our own, personal 'it' girl ever since we saw her on David Letterman promoting The Curious Case of Benjiman Button. She is smart, articulate and just simply a natural beauty regardless of what we see her in. Put her in this one shoulder, slinky black number and she is just straight bombshell all the way. Va-va-voom!!!

 

 

 Thought Sean Paul was dead? So did we!

 

We've been huge fans of Amerie since she dropped 'One Thing' and we think she doesn't get half the credit she deserves music wise, butshe still wins us over every single time and this short little white dress is definitey no exception.

 

Chaka Khan. Nuff said.
