Fuggetaboutit!!!

Mickey Rourke catches a lot of flak from critics because of the way he looks.  Rumor has it that during the 80’s Rourke was an avid participant in the sport of boxing and a few too many botched plastic surgery operations that were supposed to be fixing injuries did more harm than good. Whatever the reasoning, he paid for it over the years by losing his boyish good looks and the face that made him known, which in turn cost him many film roles.

Oddly enough, we’ve seen Rourke in suits and done up for awards shows etc, but when you seem like this, regardless of what one may think of his choice of clothing, you can’t help but think that he doesn’t give a flying f#ck about all this Hollywood stuff.

Even in interviews, Rourke comes off as funny, down to earth and actually extremely charming. Proof that flashy clothes and the good looks of Zoolander aren’t always what makes the man. Sometimes it’s more important to get to know what’s on the inside.
