We weren’t really aware of who Phillip Lim was so we had to do little research into the subject (Ie: ~~Put down the bowl of Ice Cream we were eating long enough to check out Wikipedia~~ Opened a book)

Phillip Lim (born 1973 or 1974) is an american fashion designer of Chinese ancestry . He was awarded the 2007 Council of Fashion Designers of America Emerging Talent in Womenswear

award for his work as creative director of 3.1 Phillip Lim. He worked at the label Development from 2000 to 2004, and has been the head of 3.1 Phillip Lim from 2004 to present. For the line's fall 2006 collection, Lim aimed to "inject some 'street elegance'" into his designs. Laird Borrelli of Vogue praised his work as a "pretty-but-cool clothes" that "don't try too hard".

Lim's spring 2007 collection, his first runway presentation, was initially marred by problems with lighting. The show, however, was praised as "lovely" by Nicole Phelps of Vogue, who said Lim proved himself to be an "accomplished tailor". His clothes were romantic and predominantly white, with occasional navy and floral elements. Phelps noted Lim's "knack for combining the dressy and the casual", saying that "Lim knows how fashionable women want to dress".

All we know as, he had some of Hollywood’s best dressed in attendance, so he must doing something right. Check out some of our faves!

We LOVE the chance Rachel Bilson took with this Bronze shiny 2 piece suit. We're not thrilled about the shoes, but given the style and look of this, ultimately it's forgiveable. Amazing.

We don't care for the new 90210 but for the most part we tend to enjoy Shanae Grimes' choices as far as clothing goes, but we feel like this dress with an almost vintage look to it makes her appear far older than she is and is a tad too plain for someone her age.

We love Leona Lewis but it seems like more often than not she tries to cover her body with these sort of blousy dresses and emsembles. We'd love to see her in things that are more form fitting more. OWN IT GIRL! You're beautiful!!
