We thought of Rihanna the second we saw this pic of Ciara out and about in LA – The short hair plus the rocker-chic look have become the Umbrella singers defining characteristics as of lately. We can’t blame Ciara for wanting to emulate her style. She is, as you may have read already, a trendmill.com favorite.
We aren’t necessarily the biggest fans of the recent trend involving overly distressed jeans via rips and bleach. Our father always stressed that it was insulting to people who can’t afford new clothes that aren’t tattered and ripped to wear ones intentionally made to look so, and for some reason that stuck with us. Regardless, trends come and go so this one is here for now and it seems to popular among people from all walks of life, so there you have it.
The Men’s dress shirt to create a bloused look on top, combined with the long line of the cut of the jean and those, must we say, bad ass ankle boots make this look, in the end, one we love despite our own little personal style hang ups.

i guess rihanna wants to copy cassie then.. you at trendmill are fools because rihanna copies from many other.. she did not start the short hair, she just copied kelis, fefe and the rocker chick was definately not brought back into fashion by her...its the designers who made those clothes and brought those trends back..she just wears them just like many so i dnt know what you mean by ciara is copying rihanna.. you must be white and not know anything..rihanna is the only black girl you and everyone other black gilr wants to copy her..you sound so silly and stupid!!!!!!!!

Amazing how nearly everything can be attributed to Rihanna these days. Granted, she typically has great style (thanks to her stylist, obviously), but let's not act like she somehow "invented" everything. Remember when she was criticized for emulating Beyonce too much? Give Ciara a break. She's just trying something new... and BTW, that's a WIG, not a permanent do.
