IN? OR OUT?

Tara Reid has pretty much been on summer vacation for, we dunno, the last 10 years so. It’s the kind of life you can only dream about when young yet once older, and having some sort of grip and bearings on what it is to live a real life, having the realization that no, it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. The problem with not working is eventually the cash flow runs out, vacation ends, and then what?  Sure, she had her bit parts here and there and even started up Mantra, some bargain basement fashion line thatwe haven’t heard a peep about since it’s inception and first fashion show.

The line focused on a collection of bland and unoriginal beach wear and consisted of T-shirts, dresses, bikinis, ponchos and hoodies decorated with beads and charms. The beads, charms and colors were all supposed to be specific to ‘energy’ or something other hippy shit we are too lazy to look up.  We aren’t spiritual, and we say spiritual we don’t just mean God, we mean crystals, powers etc. AS much as we DO believe you get back into the world what you put into it, and the energy you receive mirrors what you put out, we can’t help but feel the ideals behind this line were just a tad hokey from the start.

We loves clothes as much as the next person, but let’s be real here. When the clothes start ‘meaning things’ it’s time to take a step back and ask yourself what the hell you are trying to sell here. Sure, clothes can mean “Hey, wanna come home with me tonight?” or “There’s no way you will ever live the lifestyle that I do.” Fine, THOSE are the types of things a specific type or style of clothing/garments can mean – nay- express.  But fooling yourself or anyone else for the matter into believe they or you will meet a new friend or you might meet a guy http://www.fadedyouthblog.com/45138/tara-reids-sad-clothing-line isn’t just silly, it’s downright delusional.

We didn’t expect much more from another celeb clothing line – it takes more to design and market a brand than simply putting ones name it, yet this seems to be a critical factor that many a celeb ‘designer’ is far to quick to forget. Still, the concept of the line fit in perfect with Tara’s lifestyle, that being one filled with endless summers, margaritas and a different bikini for every day of the week.
