If you got in a time machine and went back to the early eighties, Prince was like the Lady GaGa of the time when it came to fashion but 100X more talented, so also 100X more pretentious. We once said something to the akin that ‘you can’t try to be a Warhol, you just either are a Warhol or you aren’t’. Prince is a Warhol. Whether his is known to be a complete asshole or not in another thing, but this is a dude who’s art, including the way he dresses, didn’t and never became some imitated, mass produced piece of garbage. And that’s when you know you have a Warhol on your hands. Never emulated and ever duplicated.
That’s why you can’t compare someone like Lady Gaga or Madonna music wise, and especially fashion wise. Artists like Prince weren’t manufactured by labels hoping that people everywhere would copy not only their music, but their style of dress and look. And even if you wanted to copy what Prince wears, go ahead and try, we dare you. Just wearing that suit for a day would be exhausting. It’s a lot harder than just going out to the store with no pants on and calling it ‘art’.

I feel like your saying nonsenses... how about try to look what's good and updtae in Lady gaga? If you look carefully and read more and see more about her, you'll discover a trully artist! She's the face of the new era and the youngers... she might be a little fool but in the end, the world today isn't it? I think she's exactely what she should be in the right time and the right place...
