Michael Jackson 'This is It' Premiere

The Premiere for the Michael Jackson movie “This is It” was last night though as far as what ‘It’ is we couldn’t tell you. We were and are as big a fan of the king of pop as anyone out there, but something about this whole movie after death situation just irks us. Now don’t get us wrong, we won’t get all conspiracy theory on you here, after all, we are a fashion site.  There was actually a solid mix of celebs in attendance from a wide range of acting and musical back grounds and what we love about events like this is that it’s not exactly red carpet so depending on the celeb, sometimes we get to see a little more of their personal style versus that of standard red carpet attire.

 

We are loving this little 2 piece number on Monique Coleman, especially since the bustier is made of leather. People seem to associate leather with a sort of dominatrix or rock type look but this is a great exmaple of how it can look very refine and chic.

The worst thing Ashley Tisdale ever did for her career was get a nose job. We like the King tribute shirt and the little half boots, but the skirt looks a bit gaudy and cheap.

We are usually Love/Hate with Katy Perry and this is definitely one we aren't fans of. We saw this dress from various angles and it really did nothing for her figure. She's young and this seems like something we would see on an older women, not someone who is 25.

This blue-grey type color is a really nice alternative to black (and this is coming from us, who is ALWAYS in black) and it seems to be popping up more and more these days.  The asymmetrical cuts and beading on the bustier is a nice varition, but also subtle enough that it doesn't draw major attention. Nice choice Beatrice Rosen .

People, including us, give Jennifer Love-Hewitt alot of s#it at times, but we can't argue that she actually looks radiant here, and dressed down at that. Nice one.

Camille Alves was dating one of the Jona brtohers. Virgins my ass....

We love this. Is that Jermaine Jackson's wife? What a babe. Kudos for her for wearing something tradition versus a standard Hollywood frock. She looks stunning.

Ahhhh we love some Vivica A Fox and this one is no exception. Excellent shoe choice and the little silver peek-a-boo on the waistline is to die for.

Paula Abdul can end up looking a little worse for wear sometimes, but her new, shorter hair do really does take years off her age. This is a pretty risky color but when you're someone with her skin tone, you have a lot more options in terms of what will and won't work. Check out those pink peep toes.

Honestly, pregnancy and marriage have made Jennifer Lopez look better than she has in years. Time and time again she has been out lately and just killing it with her outfit choices. We love the beading down the front and the ultra high boots.
