Lucero is punk rock band with country roots. The guys are from Memphis and they love whiskey, cigarettes, and women. But they REALLY love to sing about whiskey, cigarettes, and women with a morose swagger that makes even the toughest guy go soft.
The band played The Hook in Brooklyn last weekend and lead singer Ben Nichols showed up wearing just an old undershirt, a pair of Levi's, and some worn out cowboy boots. He's good looking enough to wear whatever the hell he wants and the fact that he pulled up the sleeves on the undershirt to reveal all his tattoos made all the girls swoon. But he's not the kind of guy you'd hate if he took your girl. You'd brag to your friends: "Ben Nichols stole my girlfriend. Man that guy rules."
So guys, if you want to impress the girls, don't try too hard. Take a page from Lucero and leave the snap buttons at home. All you need is a good white shirt.
