The Black Lips are one of the best bands out there right now. Their songs are raw and sexy garage rock. The band is fierce and unapologetic.
Guitarist and singer Cole Alexander dresses as though he is homeless and is known to vomit and urinate on stage..just like a homeless man. But hey, this is rock and roll. Homelessness and disgusting stage habits are part of the rules.
Here's a picture of Cole performing at New York's Bowery Ballroom. You tell me, is this is a brilliant put together look or did he pick out his outfit with his eyes closed? Probably both. The band is THAT great.

The Black Lips are like battery powered buzzsaws struggling through cardboard boxes filled with high school kids smoking tea bags behind the garbage dumps outside the cafeterai serving sloppy joes and kool-aid; in a good way. As for their look, think Nirvana meets Strokes as imitated by Vincent Gallo on Spercial K.
