Gucci S/S 08: Funky 50's Flare

Tom Ford is a hell of an act to follow. Even for the 32 year old (Yikes! That's young!) Frida Giannini who spent years working under the designers direction.  So all eyes were on the Gucci Milan show this week to see how well the budding designer would live up to the fabled Gucci name. 

Keeping to a set selection of colours and never combining more than three to a piece the look felt retro 50's with a touch of punk flare. No messy lines or over the top layers help the broad appeal on this collection but will it hold the faithful Gucci clientele? Only time will tell.
