Mick Jagger and Marlene Dietrich might seem like unlikely partners, but in the hands of designer Victor Dzenk, they turned out to be a smart inspirational pairing in his snappy and amusing show that opened Fashion Rio on Tuesday.

Staged in the neo-classical splendor of Latin America’s most famous hotel, the Copacabana Palace, this fall 2008 collection was actually a homage to the luxury inn, whose list of guests matches any hotel, well, anywhere.
