We didn't know what to expect at Vancouver Fashion Week because it is not a city we necessarily associate with Fashion on the international scene and it was not an event we even knew existed.

Sure, a lot of great boutiques grace the city's streets but sometimes that isn't enough to be world reknowned in the industry. 

So we were more than excited to see what Vancouver Fashion Week had to offer and took some of these pictures of the opening gala that took place Wednesday November 4th, 2009.
