Monday's Style Crush: Alison Mosshart
I first acknowledged my girl crush on The Kills’ former lead singer, Alison Mosshart in Montreal about two years ago. It was pretty much love as first sight as I watched her chain-smoke and sashay her way across the stage alongside band mate Jamie Hince (Kate Moss’ main squeeze.) Alison is a true enigma, but one thing is for sure, the girl has badass style. She’s always got that roughed up, worn-in look that compliments her je ne sais quoi persona. Her grungy, yet glam style stays consistent and always looks just the right amount of put together without looking too “try hard.” She nails the challenge of outfit proportion effortlessly with her oversized t-shirts and skinny jeans and mixes just the right amount of high fashion ( i.e. her Dior Homme gold boots) with her vintage staples. Her style is completely her own , but one I totally want to steal this fall. Now, if only her and new band mate, Jack White would get married and make beautiful fashion hybrid babies...
