Wow. This looks reminds me of so many things. From Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn, to the farmer's daughter your grandfather may have got caught in the barn with back in the depression era....I may not be a fan of a man in a dress and mary jane shoes, bu I do love the hat, beard, and straw belt - so I'll take the good with the bad, especially since he bad isn't all that bad at all...it's actually what makes this outfit so bold!
